This is what happens when you get old. Brock and I took Hayden out for a little ride last night. Years ago, we might have scooted off to town for a little bar hopping or hanging out with friends. Before Hayden. Now, we go to Lowe’s. The culmination of my evening was buying a shade for Hayden’s bedroom. And, I was damn excited about it.
They’re called room darkening shades. They’re worth their weight in gold. Now, since we have to get Hayden up at the butt-crack of dawn for pre-school, on the days he’s allowed to sleep in, perhaps I can trick his internal clock into thinking it’s earlier than it actually is. Oooooh! I’m so excited…
I love this picture!
ReplyDeleteI wish you luck with the shades. They work for us (sometimes). :)
Thanks! I hope so, too. :)
ReplyDeletewe also have had to start the early mornings. Hope it works and love the pic
ReplyDeleteGood luck! BTW, a trip to Lowes is my idea of a good time too lol
ReplyDeleteI love my black out curtains. Have had them for years. We just replaced the 10 year old ones for new ones. TG we did that before the bottom fell out on the economy. My modern technic for the leaky a/c is putting a cup under it...rediculous. Welcome to the lovers of black-out club!!
ReplyDeleteour babies got a strong internal clock. It can be very hard to change it. My knows when his dad is coming home. It like he can see the possition of the sun outside and just know. My son doesnt get to sleep until late. Since alot of children with autism know. But good luck with changing his sleep habits. Let me know if it works. I excite for this test lol really I am
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! I just discovered your blog and having a blast. Yes, we, too go to Lowe's for a good time. And, yes, we have blackout shades but more to keep the light out in the early evening. There's nothing on God's green earth I can do to change his sleep habits! I'm just glad when he does. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brenda!! :)
