It's Hard Being Pregnant

Being fat and pregnant is harder. Being fat, lethargic, and pregnant is even harder. Being fat, lethargic, pregnant, and a mother is more challenging. Being fat, lethargic, pregnant, and a mother of a child with autism (that's been so hyper we scared a few senior citizens today) is really difficult. Being fat, lethargic, pregnant, a mother of a child with autism (don't forget the senior citizen incident), and blowing out your jeans because you just came out of an all-you-can-eat buffet is just f'in humiliating.

I have a strong desire to simply get happy. Take it away, Frank.

  1. The all you can eat buffet really tops it, doesn't it? Good thing pregnancy isn't a permanent condition! :-)

  4. I feel ya - I was pregnant through most of the summer last year. Down here the 80 degree weather starts in March or April and by May we are in the mid-90s. So I just wore those strapless cover-ups all of the time. As a matter of fact, you have inspired me to blog about this topic. Check back later. =) Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Oh man. Most of this I cannot attest to, but the buffet while preggo thing...I have a very mebarrassing story to share. I was pregnant with my son in Las Vegas, the home of the buffet. I had four very bitter months of morning sickness with both my daughter and son, and with my son, my fiance and I decided to celebrate at the Paris buffet when it was over. I stuffed my pregnant face for a looooong time, so long in fact, I came back from filling my plate once again and found our table had been cleared. I, very red faced, had to tell our waitress that we weren't done yet. Eeek. I made that my last plate and never showed my face there again. :-/

  12. Well, just laugh! Sometimes that's the best thing you can do. My second and third kids came as a surprise set, one with fragile x syndrome. I wore the same tent for the last 6 weeks. I bought it at K Mart for $1.50. It was mis made and the only thing big enough to cover my stomach. 13 years later, we still have it. It is truly unbelievable, the twins were over 15 pounds so I was enormous! We still bring the shirt out when we need a good chuckle! As far as the autism, things will work out, one day at a time, follow your gut ! Best of Luck!
